The introduction of DPT bristle-tractor technology will offer significant CAPEX and OPEX reductions over conventional pigging and will revolutionise the operation and maintenance of pipelines.
In the case of flow lines at risk of blockage from wax deposits, current remedial techniques use conventional pigging, thermal or chemical methods and require significant CAPEX and OPEX. The introduction of DPT’s ShuttlePig technology will remove the need to use subsea launching facilities or dual-line loop pigging, expensive chemicals or heating and insulating long sections of subsea pipelines.
In the case of unpiggable pipelines, the use of DPT tractors can provide a cost-effective in-line inspection option to pipeline operators and remove the need for expensive modifications required to enable the use of conventional pigs.
