DPT tractors operate in pipes and tubular conduits of irregular cross-sectional size or shape. They travel in any direction, including vertically ascending or descending, on a wide range of surfaces, from completely smooth to wrought and welded steel pipes, flexible risers, cast iron, concrete pipes and rock-drilled boreholes. By customising the bristle type, length and criss-cross pattern, DPT tractors can accommodate significant variations in diameter, travel though damaged or partially collapsed pipes and sewers and overcome significant debris and obstacles.

DPT tractors are currently available with diameters from 2” to 56” and negotiate tight and segmented bends down to 1.5 x D at speeds up to 10 m/min. Dimensions, radii and speeds outside this range can also be considered.
Simple, robust, using proven technologies and multi-redundant mechanical systems, DPT bristle-powered tractors are bi-directional and reversible and can be launched and received from the same intervention point. DPT tractors can be deployed with confidence in critical applications where standard pigging methods would present unacceptable risks.
